Highlights are its affordability, extraordinarily high print resolution and outstanding media flexibility as well as a tone curve utility that comes with the printer, maxed out paper capacity and professional finishing options.

The feature list of the newly released Konica Minolta bizhub PRO 951 is packed with gems. Among them, two attributes really stand out – its affordability and durability. With a print speed of 95 pages per minute (ppm) A4, this new entry-level system offers an excellent price-performance ratio for central reprographic departments, digital print service providers and all high-volume printing environments without compromising on quality.

The new bizhub PRO 951 carries conviction with its superior print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dots per inch (dpi) and offers a wide range of lines per inch (lpi) options –from 40 to 300 lpi. The production system also delivers high media flexibility: it can print on paper from 40 to 300 grams per square metre (gsm) with an option for compatibility with 350-gsm paper. The system’s standard paper format is SRA3. The fully integrated media catalogue enables operators to define their media profiles, which are stored in a library and can be easily picked up from the printer driver. In addition the scheduler function gives a detailed overview of jobs in the queue and indicates the paper needed and the amount still in the tray.

One of the essential features that deliver the bizhub PRO 951’s professional printing results is the tone curve utility: This tool can change Raster Image Processing (RIP) adjustments such as screening and tone curves. The bizhub PRO 951 holds up to 9,000* sheets of paper and enriches printouts with finishing options like stapling for up to 100 sheets, booklet making and z-folding as well as post insertion, punching and automatic ring binding.

The bizhub PRO 951 is easy to operate thanks to a graphical user interface (GUI) with touch screen access and a richness of printer drivers for enhanced compatibility. Its high productivity – for example an A3 speed of 55 pages per minute (ppm) – and impressive media flexibility – duplex printing is possible with up to 300 gsm paper – provide extremely short turnaround times.
