In conjunction with our 30th Anniversary Celebrations, Konica Minolta Business Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd – (KMBS) has awarded two, up and rising Malaysian squash stars, sponsorship deals to play in the Qatar Junior Open and Doha Junior Open from the 1st to the 10th of March 2012.
The Kwan Brothers, Shaun and Shyan are ranked 6th and 10th respectively in Asian Junior Squash Under 17 circuit and were featured as top seeds in the tournament. The brothers did not disappoint as both emerged victorious in the tournaments.
Shaun Kwan, 17 years old, emerged champion in the Doha Junior Open whilst younger brother Shyan, 16 years old was victorious in the Qatar Junior Open. KMBS has always believed that it has to look beyond its bottom line and instill a social responsibility towards the health and well-being of the communities in which we operate in.
Our initiatives have always been in line with the Government’s and this sponsorship goes towards heeding the Government’s call for greater participation of the private sector in our country’s sport development. The sponsorship has proven fruitful as both the boys were victorious in the tournaments making themselves and Malaysia proud of its rising future stars.
