ALERT – Suspicious emails sent from Konica Minolta MFP through “Scan to Email”

Petaling Jaya (2 February 2016) - Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Konica Minolta products. Recently we have received several reports from our customers regarding suspicious email messages supposedly sent from Konica Minolta MFP through “Scan to Email*” function.

If you receive emails from the Sender or the Subject Title below, please DO NOT OPEN THE EMAIL, DELETE the email immediately and do not open the ATTACHMENTS.

Message from scanner

From address scanner@{customer’s domain address}
MFD@{customer’s domain address}
KONICA_MINOLTA@{customer’s domain address}
And these email also contains attachment files, whose format is not supported by our MFP.

Customer are recommended to consult with their MFP administrator and take countermeasures to identify suspicious emails such as changing the default settings of email subject sent by "Scan to E-mail" function.
